About MahaCutoffs
I. OUR MISSION
The Maharashtra Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell is a complex journey. With over 300+ engineering institutions and hundreds of specialized branch combinations, making the right choice is a daunting task. Students often struggle to navigate dense, multi-page official cutoff PDFs, which leads to suboptimal options list submissions.
MahaCutoffs was built to transform raw PDF admission lists into actionable, interactive intelligence. Our mission is to eliminate the guesswork. We provide students with a clear, mathematical perspective on where they stand, helping them prioritize their CAP preference option forms based on verified data.
II. DATA INTEGRITY & RELIABILITY
Accuracy is our primary pillar. All data processed by this analyzer is extracted directly from official documents issued by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. We ensure that our dataset reflects the official records precisely.
- Verified Historical Range: The platform includes verified data across multiple academic years, covering all official CAP rounds (Round 1, Round 2, and Round 3).
- Authenticity Checks: Every percentile and rank is cross-referenced with official allotment lists to ensure the numbers are 100% genuine.
- Modern Indexing: We've indexed colleges by status, university affiliation, and unique branch codes for precision searching and matching.
III. THE HIGHEST MATCH ALGORITHM
A key innovation of the MahaCutoffs analyzer is the Highest Match algorithm. When a student enters their merit percentile or rank, the analyzer evaluates eligibility across all candidate seat categories (e.g. GOPENS, GOBCHS, TFWS, etc.).
Instead of overwhelming students with all possible quotas, the system highlights the most competitive seat type for which they meet the cutoff criteria. It filters out any seats where the score falls below the required threshold, identifying the optimal choice automatically.
Designed with precision, speed, and reliability to help the students of Maharashtra secure admissions to their dream engineering colleges.
IV. DEVELOPER NOTE
MahaCutoffs is an independent initiative designed to improve transparency in the educational ecosystem. It is not affiliated with the State CET Cell, DTE Maharashtra, or any government body. We recommend all candidates to cross-verify their option entries with the official CET Cell portal during the active admission cycles.
